  1. In a small cooking pan, add jaggery and water and heat it till the jaggery melts. Strain and set aside..

  5. Take a banana. Cut it into small pieces. Mash it with a masher. Add this mashed banana to the flour-coconut mixture..
  6. Mix well to make a dough. Add ghee and mix well..
  7. Take a clean bay leaf. Shape it into a cone. Secure it with a toothpick. Fill the leaf cone with the prepared dough. Repeat the process for the rest of the dough..
  8. Take a steamer, add water and one bay leaf. Transfer the filled cones to the steamer plate and steam cook it on high flame for 15 minutes..
  9. When done, remove from heat..
  10. Serve warm with a hot cup of tea or coffee..
  11. Part of the dough I filled in silicon moulds. Pre-heated air fryer for 4 minutes and baked it 180° for 5 minutes. The baked dumplings tasted even more better than the steamed dumplings..
