- Prepare 1 cup of Chanadal.
- It's 1 cup of Banana Blossoms chopped.
- You need 1 of chopped onion.
- You need 1 tbsp of Red chilli Powder.
- Prepare 1 tsp of Turmeric Powder.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of Cumin Seeds.
- You need 1 tbsp of Rice flour.
- It's 4 of Garlic pods crushed.
- Prepare 1 of Spring Curry leaves.
- You need to taste of Salt.
- Prepare As needed of Oil for deep frying.

Valaipoo Vadai / Banana Blossoms Vadai step by step
- Wash and soak the Chanadal in water for 1 hour. Drain the water completely Jioand grind coarsely..
- Wash the Banana blossoms and chop them.
- In a mixing bowl, add the coarsely grounded Chanadal, chopped banana blossoms, cumin seeds, chopped onions, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, rice flour, crushed garlic, Salt, curry leaves and mix all together well..
- Heat oil in a ladies. Then take a small amount of the mixture, shape the mixture in a form of vadas and deep fry till golden brown in batches..
- Hot and crisp vadas are ready to serve.. Serve with Hot cup of tea..
Banana flower or banana blossom is one of our family's favorite. I buy every week and prepare usili, kootu or poriyal or even thuvaiyal with it. Clean the vazhaipoo and wash it in buttermilk. The Banana flower has big pinkish red petals enclosing the flowers. It has a long stack with a head to it, one long outer cover and a shorter cover.
